This is my language, this is what I do. This is what I do to keep
myself sane, not sane as the opposite of insane, sane as in alive
and aware. It takes much energy to keep myself open and sensitive.
The work process is built on such fragile inducement. You have to
take it slow and be very careful. This makes me aware of where and who I am in life. I want my work to contain some kind of beauty, beauty in a sense of ability to control the form, to care about it
and the content.

Photography is about perception. It's not about giving something for the eyes to see but rather sharing something for the mind to perceive, what one could call non-travel photography.

For me the concept of a painting is as important as the painting itself.
It's all about creating a relevant dialog between the elements depicted. Finding a connection.

Picture of a Lie
If photography was born to document the reality, Picture of a Lie has the goal of documenting the false. The artist, after a non scientific psychoanalytic procedure, asked his model to repeat their worst lie as they were facing the person they told it to. The goal is not to portray the person but the lie itself.

My paintings and collages explore the inundation of visual communication that surrounds us. The fastest increasing quantity
on this planet is the amount of information we are generating.
This glut of information has generated an ever more disposable culture, and the excess of visual communication has created a vast array of social issues. My relationship with this visual saturation is two-fold. As a member of society I directly experience it, and as a professional graphic designer, I help to create it.

I'm a 24 year old Asian American dude wandering San Diego trying
to make art as often and as much as possible. I've been working as
a coffee barista for the past 4 years now. I make a pretty good cappuccino. I am also a compulsive doodler. I draw on everything
and everyone. Watch out. I'll draw on you!
